    Hi

As you've already discovered judging by your post in another thread, there is no limit to the images you can upload to a gallery but the responsive BEAM galleries can only display 250.

    Hi Nick,
What options are there for libraries with thousands of mages?

If you wanted to use a BEAM template, you could pick a selection of the best images in the collection to appear in a responsive gallery, which would act as your 'shop window', then if you wanted the entire image library in a single gallery you could include a link in the menu to the archive view of the gallery which would show all of them (this is the link you see below the gallery title at http://photoshelter.com/mem/images when you select the gallery from the left hand column). You could split the collection thematically if there were a way to do this that keeps each theme to 250 images, or you could use a Classic template without the 250 image restriction.

That may be the way to go, I'll take a further look. I assume the Classic template is always there in the background even though BEAM is the active shop window?

Not strictly a Classic template - the Archive view of galleries is part of Beam and isn't as customisable as the Classic templates. But yes, it's there in the background and is a less pretty but more functional view of the images. Compare and contrast (from my site):
