I have recently moved to Photoshelter and have the Basic package as get used to it.  Is there a way to have the 'download link' turned off on some folders in the archive but on in others?

  The 'Download' link will only appear for users who have been given permission to download images in the gallery. As you are the site owner you will always see this, however in each gallery you can click on 'Visibilty and Access' in the right hand side of the gallery management page to specify who else can.
