Anyone can view your site without being logged in, but they can only view images in galleries that have been set to be publicly viewable. To download images, a customer needs permission, either by being given a password to a gallery that has password-only access (and even then the download permission needs to be explicitly granted by you), or by logging in and accessing a gallery which they have been given access to via their email address.

Darn it, that's a deal breaker. So bummed.

What is it you are trying to achieve?

Links to my images are sent out in a blast via a publicist to a slew of media outlets. Requiring them to enter a password to download an image is basically creating a firewall. It complicates the process. I have no copyright worries and I get paid a flat fee for the shoot. I just want media outlets to be able to look at an image, then download it, not enter passwords or log on.

A lot of their work flow is done on smart phones by very busy people who are multitasking - expecting them to memorize a password when their in box is already inundated with links to other celebrity images would be an irritant. It'd have a negative impact. Thanks for asking.

Fair enough - I was hoping I could come up with a way round your issue, but it would appear not. Guess it's not for every photographer! Hope you find something suitable.

Thanks for your time. I used to use imgur for this very reason, but they just revamped their site and now it strips the image of the caption data when it is downloaded.
