I really do love Photoshelter, it's rock solid and proven. I use it for my online archive storage and I love that I can upload my RAW files while on the job offsite as an extra precaution.
With sites like Picr, Shootproof, and Pixiset, always improving and doing more, I mean even Zenfolio has a blog feature. I really would like to see Photoshelter step up to the plate.
I've been on PS back in 2005, left in 2008, and came back in 2017, and the email format was the same! It was not robust, very stale, and quite frankly, old fashioned.
There's no way to go back in our email history to see who has viewed or opened our sent emails. We need an automated email feature, a newsletter marketing feature, an easier way for clients to purchase products, and a better and more robust email template system to start off with. We also need a way to collect emails for marketing, something more modern I guess.
The mobile app is clunky, no slideshow, no client features that I can see as Shootproof and Pixiset has. It's painful to use, and there's no portfolio feature for iPad users.
I believe that in this day and age, where other sites are combining powerful CRM software, mobile apps, and overall better client experience for the money that we put out every month, we should be getting something better.
Finding a place to do everything, CRM, storage, client galleries, selling, blogging, has been really difficult. And I don't mean selling to labs I don't know, I mean labs like Millers, and Pro DPI, for example.
Yes, this should all go into feedback or a direct email. However, I need to hear from anyone else out here. This forum used to be very active with great questions and support.
Anyone want to chime in a respectful and constructive manner? I guess my thought here is that if enough of us say something here, we might be able to get something through?
Thanks again, everyone.
