I tried to cancel my account after 11 years with this company, emailing them before my renewal date. They tried to talk me into staying, like companies always do, rather than just canceling when asked to.
I thought I was safe from being charged because my credit card was expired. I was busy dealing with a family tragedy & was frankly annoyed that my account was not just canceled as asked.
Then I noticed they were somehow able to bill my expired card for a year's service. I emailed asking them to refund the charge, but because I was stressed and angry, I also wrote my credit card company to dispute the charge because the card was expired.
In the meantime, Photo Shelter offered a prorated refund. When my cc company wouldn't refund the charge, I asked Photo Shelter to honor this prorated refund. They refused & just keep citing their cancellation policy, ignoring the fact that they told me in writing that they'd give me a prorated refund.
Why on earth $200 is more important to this company than their reputation is beyond me. But, Sarah Pace just keeps replying over & over again that "Unfortunately I'm unable to offer a refund" which is infuriating.
