SEPTEMBER 3, 2024

As of October 1, 2024, Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) will be a required security feature for all PhotoShelter for Photographers accounts.
Two-Factor Authentication adds an extra layer of protection to your PhotoShelter account by requiring you to provide two different forms of identification when you log in:

1. Your account password
2. A code that is generated by an authenticator app installed on your mobile device

Note: 2FA will only be required for access to the backend of your account. Upload method logins (such as Photo Mechanic or FTP) and client logins will not be impacted.

• "Overview" Statistics Page Reactivated - We've fixed a bug that disconnected PSP members' Overview pages from Google Analytics, which is the provider of the data that creates the charts on this page.  

MAY 7, 2024

• Two-Factor Authentication Enforced on All New Signups - To help prevent unauthorized access to your account and to enhance the overall security of your assets and personal information, all new signups to PhotoShelter will be required to set up Two-Factor Authentication, also known as 2FA.

• FileFlow for Android 1.6.0 - FileFlow version 1.6.0 for Android devices is now available in the Google Play Store. Updates include:
  • The ability to upload photos and videos from Android devices
  • The ability to view the status of uploads in an Uploads Queue, next to the Downloads Queue

• Twitter Icon Updated to X - In all of our Responsive templates, we have replaced the former bird Twitter icon to the latest X icon in the Social Share panel to match that platform's branding. 

SEPTEMBER 6, 2023

What's Changed

• ThreadStudio Removal - Due to the recent acquisition of ThreadStudio by Pic The Gift, as of September 6, 2023, ThreadStudio will no longer be offered as an integrated print vendor for automated fulfillment with PhotoShelter. ThreadStudio was formerly known as EZ Prints. Members with affected pricing profiles have been notified via email along with additional information about how to switch vendors. You can read more about this in our Support Center.

What's Changed

• Sunsetting Lattice - We are deprecating the Lattice tool that we launched in 2014. Lattice will shut down effective July 6, 2023. At that time, access to Lattice Boards will stop, but potential buyers will still be able to search public images on get.photoshelter.com and click through to your website. What's Changed

• Improved DNG support - We've updated our image processing tool to improve the display and resized JPG downloads from DNG files stored in PhotoShelter. These DNG files will need to contain a "Full Size" JPG preview embedded in order to be used and will apply to files uploaded after this point in time.

• FileFlow iOS version 1.10 - FileFlow version 1.10 for iOS devices is now available in the App Store. Updates include:
  • Password Autofill support on the login screen
  • UI consistency updates
  • Support for iOS 14's new way for apps to request PhotoLibrary access

What's Changed

• RAW File Preview Improvements - Significant improvements have been made to the display of RAW files in the Image Browser and on member websites. This change will use the embedded JPG preview that cameras usually provide along with RAW files, thus making it so your preview files in-camera look the same when viewed in PhotoShelter. This change will be for all files newly uploaded to PhotoShelter after this point, and are particularly noticeable improvements for Canon CR3 files and Sony ARW files.

What's New

• Google Analytics 4 Support Our Google Analytics tracking field on the General Settings page now supports Google Analytics 4's G-tags in addition to Universal Analytics tags. If you have been using the footer field in General Settings for GA4 tracking, you can continue to do so. Read more about finding and adding your G-tag here.

• Address Book Updates We've added some updates to the Address Book:
  • Modifying Group Names - Members can now modify the name of existing groups. You can view this option in the Right Pane by selecting a group first in the Left Pane and clicking the Edit button next to Basic Info.

 

• • User Invited Access - You can now see what containers (Galleries, Collections) specific users have access to and can click on the link to jump to that container in the Image Browser. Access at the group level is displayed separately with Group Invited Access below. You can view this in the Right Pane by selecting a single user first in the Center Pane.

  • Group Invited Access - You can now see what containers (Galleries, Collections) a specific group has access to and can click on the link to jump to that container in the Image Browser. You can view this by selecting a group first in the Left Pane.

     

• • Group Count - You can now see the number of groups a person is in from the "Groups" column in the Address Book List.

What's New

• Uploading in the FileFlow iOS Mobile App Uploading on the go is here for iOS users! Version 1.8 of the FileFlow app on iOS now gives members the ability to upload from their mobile phones into existing galleries in their PhotoShelter for Photographers account(s). Uploading for Android devices will come in a later update.

• Wordpress Plugin - The Wordpress Importer Plugin version 1.0.4 is now available in the Wordpress Plugin store. This update includes:
  • compatibility with Wordpress 6.1.1
  • a bug fix to replace the block with the inserted file on a page or post

• Various improvements to PDF handling:
  • This applies only to newly uploaded PDFs, not existing PDFs
  • Rendering quality for that JPEG has been increased from 75->98
  • This applies to any PDF->JPEG downloads via single image download, batch download, and Quick Send
• PDF quality has been increased from 72->300 DPI
• If a client purchases a PDF whose printing is handled via our automated print vendor partners, it will now be a smoother, more efficient process
• If a client chooses to download a PDF as a JPEG rather than the original file type, they will receive a JPEG download of the 1st page

SHOPPING CART UPDATES:

• A host of improvements to cropping images at checkout, designed to make the cropping option more obvious and easier to use. Changes include:
  • Only displays if the buyer hasn't already edited the crop setting for that image
  • Images that are deemed potentially problematic are flagged with an "!" icon for review
  • Crop options text is changed to "Fit" and "Fill" (from "Auto" and "None")
  • Now includes Fit, Fill options as well as movable mask for manual cropping
  • Sizes now displayed in cm as well as inches
• A contextual warning that displays to the buyer when a potentially poor crop is detected
• Updates to the basic design of the Shopping Cart page to better highlight the crop preview and adjustment options
